Well the promised mid-July casting announcement for True Detective season two hasn't emerged yet, but more rumours on both cast and plot have.

Vince Vaughn is the latest name to be attached to Nic Pizzolatto's follow-up, according to The Wrap, who are sticking by their initial suggestions that both Colin Farrell and Taylor Kitsch will play old-cop, young-cop, respectively.

We're expecting that Vaughn will be playing the 'career criminal' - otherwise known as Frank Semyon. Rachel Mc Adams is rumoured to be in line to play a "no nonsense" sheriff in series two of True Detective, it has been reported.

The 35-year-old is understood to be competing with Mad Men's Elisabeth Moss for the role.

Colin Farrell and Rachel Mc Adams, who will be taking leading roles in this season, were also present, alongside several adult film stars.

The filming took place in a mansion in Pasadena, California.
